About Johnathan "JC" Smith
Dedicated To The Sound
Throughout the years of his musical career and while growing up in small town East Texas (Pittsburg), Johnathan "JC" Smith learned from every genre he listened to or performed.
He started with an electric guitar as a youth, a gift from his father and mother. And then learned to play several instruments during his lifetime. His musical influences growing up were Prince, Ernie Isley, George Benson, George Clinton and Niles Rogers. Later on, Smooth Jazz influences included Steve Cole, Jeffery Smith and Boney James.
His style is becoming instantly recognizable. A sound that others are beginning to notice. While recording in his home studio (the #ScienceLabStudio), JC writes, arranges, produces and performs under his own banner: #JaySoundProductions. He has been happy and proud to present what was a lifetime in the making... The November 11, 2021 release of his debut album: Smooth Nights. A tasteful collection of original Smooth Jazz, R&B/Soul and Dance music. Every song, instrument and vocal was written, arranged, produced and performed by Johnathan "JC" Smith. Now, on to his second album release on April 25, 2024: "The Cool & The Smooth".
